The new Airman has its origins in the early nineties when the traditional Swiss manufacturer brought out its then revolutionary Airman 7 with three dials displaying the time simultaneously.

In introducing the impressive watch, boasting three automatic movements, Glycine had redesigned the arrangement of several time zones and created ultimate timepiece for pilots and frequent travellers which again has a simultaneous display of three time zones. New Airman Seven which comes in a stainless steel case with an ample diameter of 46 mm,is no longer based on three separate automatic movements, but for the first time on one single movement that controls the three time zones simultaneously by means of an ingenious complication.

In contrary to the conventional GMT watches the face of Glycine’s timepiece is divided into one main dial with the main time zone (12-hour clock) and two smaller integrated dials with a 24-hour time zone each. Wwo 24-hour time zones can be operated directly by simply pressing the main crown at two o’clock (1st GMT zone) or the button at four o’clock (2nd GMT zone). The human eye can take in the three time zones easily and the display is much easier to read. The Airman’s dial is inspired by the sleek structure of the turbojet engine and comes in dark blue and anthracite.
